A licensed original story, not a manga chapter
The official intro calls BLEACH Mirrors High an original story after the Thousand-Year Blood War. A lone soul wakes in Karakura Town, and you play a soul reaper you create. The publisher has not defined it as manga canon, and it has not denied that either.
What Kubo is credited for
In the December 2025 message, Kubo says he has been in since kickoff: title, scenario, character design, logo, and auditions. The 28 October 2026 Final Weapon interview with the producers says he supervised and reviewed story direction, and that he designed 15 new characters. I keep both sentences. I do not collapse them into 'Kubo wrote every line', and I do not name a scriptwriter, because no individual writer credit is public.
MeowDB quotes Kubo to the effect that parts relate to the manga's main line. That is his comment, not a publisher canon stamp.

The opening
The opening animation CRITICAL is by suisoh with Takahiro Yamada of ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, produced at PIERROT FILMS. Producers told Final Weapon that later updates would add characters, chapters, costumes, and animation. That is a plan statement, not a dated patch.
